New Mothers Support Circles

The intention of this circle is to gather in supportive community as we navigate these first few tender months with a new baby in the family. Alongside joy and celebration, the early months of parenthood can bring big feelings, challenges and shifts in every aspect of our lives. The huge responsibilities of new parenthood can also sometimes feel isolating, and sharing time, space, conversation and compassion with others in this same phase of life can bring much needed support and grounding.

We will open each class with some light yet powerful breath-work and simple stretching to ground, strengthen and release the emotional and physical tension that can accrue in new parenthood. Each week’s meeting will have time both for open sharing and check-ins, as well as conversations on special topics that will change from week to week. These topics will include things like your transition to parenthood, relationship with your baby, and intimate partner relationships.

This group is geared toward mothers or other primary caretakers of any identity caring for a baby or babies who are 0 to 4 months old at the start of the session. This group is not geared for couples but instead allows for a private space to connect with your baby and others with their babies. You are welcome and encouraged to attend each week with your baby awake, sleeping, feeding, or whatever they happen to be up to at the moment we sit with each other. Come as you are.
